It’s Pride Month in Colorado Springs, and we are looking forward to celebrating. It has been a tough year for a lot of people, including our LGBTQ+ youth. Though we successfully moved our programming online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we all need an occasion to celebrate and come together (in person or virtually).
Inside Out will be reopening for in-person services starting June 11, 3-5:30 p.m., when all youth are invited to shop our free clothing closet and join us for a hair and makeup tutorial in preparation for Queer Prom!
Starting June 25, join us for regular in-person hours every Tuesday and Friday. Mondays and Thursdays will continue to be held virtually, while there will be no open hours on Wednesdays. Check back here for updates to that schedule!
Pride month is an acknowledgement of our struggles and successes as a community, and a celebration of our beautiful diversity. For more than 30 years, Inside Out Youth Services has seen the LGBTQ+ community in the Pikes Peak region through the closure of our spaces, the painful rhetoric surrounding our identities, and the continuing effort toward full equality. We strive to make the area safer for LGBTQ+ youth through outreach and education, and we support ALL young people who come through our doors.
Here, everyone is welcome.
Please help us continue this work by making a donation to Inside Out today. Every dollar helps us keep our doors open, our lights on, and our young people supported with a staff of trusted adults.
