Parents! Looking for other ways to support LGBTQIA2+ youth in the community? Consider giving annually to support our programs.

Parents, guardians, and other family members of transgender people may not always know the questions to ask, the best ways to be supportive, or how to advocate for and with their loved ones. No matter the age of your trans child, or where they are in their transition, all loved ones of trans folks are welcome to join this supportive group. Ask questions, discover resources, share successes and challenges, and find community together.

TransParenting meetings are facilitated by an Inside Out volunteer and a PFLAG board member. These hour-and-a-half Zoom meetings are somewhat informal and are meant to provide space for you and other parents to talk, connect, and learn. Occasional learning opportunities may present themselves, such as Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings, Q&As with IOYS staff, and more. You are free to come as you are and participate as actively or passively as you are comfortable. We’re glad you’re here.
